Janet Evans

Janet Evans has enjoyed a rich and varied professional life as an educator. She has served in the classroom, teaching diverse groups of students in grades kindergarten through eighth. She has also served as a middle and high school administrator and as a district-level administrator in upstate New York. Her success is grounded in her deep passion for working with young people and she has two decades of identifying and meeting the needs of youth - touching their lives in public schools and beyond.

Janet’s personal goal has always been to be an effective change agent in doing things that really make a difference in schools. She is currently fulfilling this goal by serving as the 21st Century Literacy Coach for Rochelle Middle School, located in Kinston, North Carolina. In this capacity she works with teachers to facilitate their use of research-based best practice in all content area classes; providing strategies and solutions to address the challenges teachers face today.
